Dave Shipler has been painting homes and businesses around Colorado Springs for more than 40 years, and he comes from a family line of professional painters.

Dave’s way of keeping it has not changed in four decades: protect everything in the house, repair what is damaged, prepare every surface properly, and only then open the paint. Customers notice. Brush Masters describes itself simply as residential repaint experts. Most of the work is homes - whole-house repaints, single rooms, rentals between tenants, and houses getting ready to go on the market - along with commercial spaces and condominium communities.
More than painting
A paint job is only as good as the wall under it, so the repairs are part of the service: drywall patching and texture matching, popcorn ceiling removal, wallpaper removal and hanging, and siding, trim and door replacement. Natural wood gets stripped and stained rather than painted over. It means one team, one schedule, and nobody waiting on another trade.

Dave does the estimates himself, and he aims to stay in constant communication with customers until the job is done. Free in-person estimate
Dave comes out and looks at the job himself. You get the time it will take, the paint and labor estimate, and a list of what you can do before the crew arrives.
Protect, prep, paint
Everything is covered first, surfaces are repaired and prepped, then painted. You are kept updated as the work goes - and asked before any extra work is done.
Final walk-through
Dave walks the finished job with you, and nothing is packed up until you are happy with it.
